Pending Tournaments
- Augie reported that the Grades Tournament will be held May 21 as posted on the OCBCF site. A flier will be posted as soon as it is available.
Upcoming Meetings
- The May meeting is scheduled as others. It may or may not occur as business calls.
- The Annual Meeting will be Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 2 pm at Hu Dat's restaurant on South Staples (near Saratoga). Ninfa confirmed the reservation.
Announcements
- Augie announced that he has become a USCF Certified Chess Coach through the organization's program. The requirements are completing an application available at the USCF website, being recommended by a USCF Affiliate or tournament director, and passing a test. Other levels area available (Local, District, Advanced, National and Professional). Augie encouraged anyone working with a school to pursue this.
- Augie read in the Chess Coach newsletter that the BSA is developing a Chess Merit Badge. The badge should be available soon.

- The next meeting will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 2 PM unless otherwise announced.
