Minutes Of August 2009

Date: August 30, 2009

Attending: Rey Contreras, Eddie Rios, Chris Villarreal, Ninfa Villarreal, Gus Rodriguez, Paul Haney, Bob James, Augie Rivera, George Tintera, Charlene Tintera, Bill Wheeler.

Location: The Rivera's house.

The meeting was called to order by President Rivera at 2:02 PM.

The minutes from the previous meeting were unanimously approved as posted.

Mike Wallett (the treasurer) was not present, so the Treasurer's report was postponed. Chris Villarreal reported having received an email from Mike Wallett saying that Windsdor Park, Saint Patrick's and Flour Bluff all had checks outstanding. George Tintera asked for an auditable statement to be presented. One is needed as a basis for filing tax forms needed to maintain the incorporated status.

Pending Business

Bob James reported that 21st Century is planning to include chess in their after school program for students in CCISD schools. He will contact the director of that program and attempt to tie the activities of the OCBCF to 21st Century. He will report back.

Ninfa Villarreal was tasked with obtaining shirts for the group. She will contact TD's about their shirt sizes.

New Business

The Tournament Schedule for 2009/2010 was discussed. It stands as posted on Tournament Schedule 20092010

It was announced that General meetings of the OCBCF will be held on the last Sunday of each month with the exception of December (13th) and June (19th for the annual meeting).

The meeting was adjourned at 3:42 PM.

The next meeting will take place September 27 at 2 PM at the Rivera residence in Corpus Christi.
