Minutes of the OCBCF General Membership

February 25, 2007

Location: St. Patrick Church, Corpus Christi, TX 2PM

Present: Ken Muir, Bob James, Rosa Gonzalez, George Tintera, Bert Quintanilla, Judy Winston and Norma Ochoa

I. Old Business

a. Website Expansion - Ken Muir reported that he working with Neil Brennam of Chess Life on a potential article.

b. Texas Scholastic Championship in Dallas - Elma provided a copy of the contact for the bus trip which Augie Rivera will review. He will also draft a waiver for participants to sign. March 2nd is the deadline for parents to make their commitment to ride the bus.

c. Notation Sheets - George Tintera is working on obtaining a second quote for printing of notation sheets.

II. Past Tournaments

a. Equipment Sales - a discussion was held to stress the importance of negotiating with someone in advance the sale of equipment at tournaments.

III. Upcoming Tournaments

Flour Bluff will be holding a tournament on April 14th in the Primary Cafeteria. State will be looking for T Ds to volunteer.

The next OCBCF General Membership meeting will be held on March 25, 2007 at 2 PM. Norma Ochoa will request the Parish Hall again.
