Discussion regarding the recently adopted OCBCF rules on this web site. Rule will be amended in the preamble to read "tournaments in which OCBCF acts as the reporting affiliate" instead of "OCBCF-assisted tournaments." Motion by Ken Muir, seconded and passed by voice majority vote with one "nay" vote. Discussion was that the rules can be revisited after an opportunity to observe how they work out in upcoming tournaments.

The Beginner's tournament had 78 players. Sandy reported that it went well. The parent teaching session by Ken Muir drew about 40 parents and went well.

The Wynn Seale tournament on October 27 will need help from TD's.

For the Calallen tournament on October 13, George will accept registration by email until 5:00 on Thursday October 11. Ninfa will contact Jerry Wiser about trophies/medals, Eddie will do raffle. Ken will find out if he is available to Chief TD the tournament.

Sandy reported that Collegiate HS would like to have their tournament date on February 16. Shamrock classic date is pending.

Chula Vista would like a tournament in the spring, with a beginner's section for novices.

Eddie reported that the State Girls tournament should make all its costs but he will provide a full report at the next meeting.

NEW BUSINESS: Bob J. suggested obtaining a portable P.A. system as some tournament sites do not have one available. A motion was seconded and passed by voice vote to spend up to $500 on a P.A. system. Ninfa will look into the purchase.

Bob J. will look into making I.D. cards for TD's as many of the cards made by St. Patricks have been lost.

I hereby declare that this is a true and correct rendition of my notes of the meeting held on October 7, 2007.
