University of Texas--Dallas and Texas A&M University--Kingsville will both be awarding scholarships in the High School section. More scholarships may be offered.

We had an exciting weekend with 139 girls playing 6 rounds of chess, and 18 mother/daughter teams in a non-rated tournament on Saturday night. You can see individual and team results by clicking on the links below. The mother/daughter teams are listed by the daughter's name. Although "surrogate" mothers were allowed, the majority of the teams were actually mothers with their own daughters.
